Thank You for your interest in joining

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Kent County
Emergency Services Team.  The Kent County Emergency service team is
the parent organization of Kent County Search and Rescue, RACES,
Auxcom, and some other cool programs.  KCEST is an all-hazards
response program that responds to any requests for service from the
office of emergency management in Kent County and mutual aid to
surrounding Counties.

This is how the application process works:

#1) Submit your application
#2) Interview
#3) Final background check by KCSD
#5) Acceptance or Denial

At this point, you have completed step 1 by submitting an application.

Before you come to your interview we ask that you do the following.
– Purchase a 3-inch binder
– Purchase at least 50 sheet protectors
– Create a cover page for the front of your binder that says the
following.  Your name, and Kent County RACES / SAR “Love Me Book”.
– Print the attached document probationary 2019 pdf.  This will become
page 1 in your book.

– Print the remaining attached documents.  The page number is in the
title of the document.
– Complete the following online training courses.  These training
courses will become part of your “love me” book.

Fema IS-909 (https://training.fema.gov/is/courseoverview.aspx?code=IS-909)
Fema IS-100C
(https://training.fema.gov/is/courseoverview.aspx?code=IS-100.c)

You are more than welcome to continue on the remaining courses. These
are the two courses you are required to complete and bring with you to
your interview.  You will need to print them out and they should be
placed in the order of the checklist in your love me book. You should
also save digital copies of these as you will need them for later to
upload to your member profile.

Please email hr@kentcountysar.org with copies of your completed
training’s and we will set up interviews based on when you complete
those tasks.

Please note, completing these tasks is not a guarantee in joining the
program.  This task demonstrates the willingness to complete requested
tasks within a set amount of time.
